Challenge Summary

Copper is well known as the red metal, and equally well accepted as a green metal because copper is durable, easily remelted or re-refined, and economic to recycle. Copper scrap consists of :

Grade 1 - clean, unalloyed, and uncoated copper solids, clippings, punchings, bus bars, commutator segments, clean pipe and tubing.

Grade 2 - Copper scrap is the same but may include oxidised or coated/plated pieces including oxidised or coated copper wire free of excessive oxidation.
